Teaching Through Dance:

Ed WindDancer gives students and teachers a rare opportunity to experience live authentic traditional American Indian dance. Ed engages everyone as he dances with intensity and high-energy, and explains the meanings of each of the dances. He gives each student group a chance to participate in these dances with him and let them experience what it is like first hand. Students will learn such dances as the Sneak-Up and Crow Hop.

Learning About New Culture:

Ed teaches about his heritage and culture as he explains in detail his traditional attire along with its history and significance, the types of food that his people originally cultivated, their customs and beliefs and the ways of other tribal nations around the country. He does this through story telling and interactive question and answer sessions with the students so that they can actively participate throughout the performance.
